A sense of fear and anxiety has gripped a Noida family after their 21-year-old son, Ankit, suddenly went missing last week. Despite continuous efforts by his relatives and local police, there has been no trace of him so far.

According to the police report, Ankit is the younger brother of Anuj Kumar, a resident of Supertech Ecovillage-1, Bisrakh, Gautam Buddha Nagar. On 17 August 2025, Ankit stepped out of his home around 5:00 PM, saying he had some work, but he never returned.

Family’s Desperate Search

When Ankit did not return home that evening, his family began searching frantically across nearby areas. Relatives, friends, and neighbors joined in, hoping to find some clue, but their attempts went in vain. After days of struggle and no progress, his brother filed a missing person’s complaint with Bisrakh Police Station.

Speaking about the case, investigators confirmed that the family tried multiple ways to contact Ankit but his phone was unreachable after a certain point. The family finally decided to involve the police on 24 August 2025, exactly a week after his disappearance.

Last Location Detected

Through technical surveillance, police were able to track Ankit’s last known mobile location. Officials revealed that his phone was last active near Chhijarsi Toll Plaza on 17 August 2025 around 6:45 PM.

After that, all signals went cold, raising concerns about his safety. Police are now analyzing CCTV footage from the toll plaza and surrounding routes to piece together his movements.

Police Investigation Underway

The case is currently being handled by Sub-Inspector Sunil Kumar, who is leading the search operation. “We are treating this case with utmost priority. All possible angles are being checked, including technical surveillance and ground-level inquiries,” said an officer on condition of anonymity.

Authorities have also urged the public to step forward if they have any information regarding the missing youth.

Family members describe Ankit as soft-spoken and humble, with no known disputes or issues that could explain his disappearance.
